Match a Dev is a free weekly newsletter run by Tripleweb Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15828285). Our registered office is Bawtry Hall, South Parade, Bawtry, Doncaster, DN10 6JH. Tripleweb Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here, registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under number ZC020850.

What we collect

When you subscribe: your email address and the time you signed up.
When you apply to be featured: your name, email address, location, portfolio link, your answers to the application questions and whether you're happy to share a headshot or join a video call.
When you reply to an issue: your email address and whatever you write to us.

This website doesn't set cookies and doesn't use analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

To send you the newsletter, once a week, until you unsubscribe.
To review your application and, if we feature you, to write your profile and send it to you to check before it's published.
To introduce you to a developer when you ask us to. We only share your email address with that developer, and only when you've asked for the introduction.

We rely on your consent for each of these. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing, or by emailing us. We never sell your data or use it for anything else.

Who else handles it

Netlify hosts this website and stores form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States. Transfers are covered by Netlify's data processing agreement, which includes the safeguards UK law requires for sending data abroad.
Our email service, which sends the newsletter. We'll name it here before the first issue goes out.

How long we keep it

Subscribers: until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your email address on a suppression list, only so we never email you again by mistake.
Applications: if we don't feature you, we delete your application within 12 months. If we do, your published profile stays in our archive unless you ask us to take it down.
Video call recordings: we only record with your permission, and we delete the recording once your profile is published.
Emails you send us: for as long as we need them to make an introduction or answer your question, and no longer than 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email hello@matchadev.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
